The Farm School not only provides experiences here on the farm but also out in the larger world -educating farmers and feeding friends and family! Here you can find out about ways to find and enjoy our delicious organic produce, all-natural meats and free-range eggs.
A vital aspect of our Practical Farm Training Program is to teach student farmers how to grow the most exquisite produce possible and use the best practices to market it, thereby giving them the tools to farm successfully on their own. All of the produce is planted, grown, harvested, marketed and sold by Farm School children, student farmers, and staff.
We will again this year be at the Belmont Farmer's Market. All of our in-season produce as well as all-natural meats, free-range eggs and flowers are available at our farm stand. Drop by the market on Thursdays between 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm from June until late October, bring home a taste of The Farm School and visit with staff and student-farmers!

What's a CSA?.......
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture and indicates a method of marketing whereby clients purchase a share of the produce grown before the season, thereby sharing in the bounty and realities of the season.
In addition to supplying your family with super-fresh, certified-organic produce from the fields of our Practical Farm Training Program, your participation in the CSA will support the training of our student farmers as they learn the growing practices and marketing techniques integral to successful farming in New England.
A $600 membership includes weekly distribution of our harvest of certified organic vegetables for 21 weeks June - October.
Distribution
This Season we are really looking forward to offering a new model for distribution in addition to the boxed share we’ve always offered. We’ll make available “market style” pick-up at Iggy’s Bread of The World on Tuesdays throughout the season in which we’ll bring, say 12 or 15 seasonal veggie options and members choose the 9 or 12 that they love - leaving behind those veggies you still haven’t found a taste for. This distribution method affords us the opportunity to visit with members weekly, answering growing and cooking questions and sharing what’s happening on the farm while giving you, our members, a bit more choice in your weekly share of the harvest. We hope this provides an even stronger connection to the folks who grow your food and for us, those folks enjoying it!
For those for whom the boxed share is ideal we look forward to continuing to make boxed shares available at our Watertown location (Athenahealth) on Thursdays. All our shares sell for $600. We are committed to making abundantly available our excellent quality, super-fresh, certified organic vegetables whichever model you choose.

The Radical Radish: 'The words radical and radish share a common etymological origin. Radishes are often vibrant in color, flavorful (to the point of tears in some Japanese varieties) and, most of all, a tuber, root-based crop. The Latin radix means root. To be radical, one is getting to the root of that in which they are engaging.'
