Tuition

  • We use a variable tuition model in which the tuition contribution for each student is determined based on an analysis by the FACTS Grant and Aid application, which many independent schools use. FACTS securely collects information from each family, performs an analysis, and shares their results with our tuition committee.  This application has no impact on your credit score.
  • It can take up to 14 days for FACTS to share your information with our committee, so submit the application as soon as you can.
  • In advance, you can review the information you will need to apply here: FACTS Necessary Documents Checklist.  As part of the application, families will need to upload U.S. Individual Income Tax Returns, W-2 forms, and possible other documentation.
  • Applicants also list the amount they feel able to pay for each student, which is part of our process in determining tuition. The tuition committee uses information from FACTS and each family to determine each student’s tuition.
  • The tuition rate is NOT a factor in whether a student is offered a space in our class.
  • Since our founding in 2002, we have accommodated every interested family, no matter the financial situation. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
  • Email ccteachers@farmschool.org to receive the link to the FACTS Grant & Aid Application.

Full tuition for the ‘25-26 school year: $16,250

Minimum tuition contribution for the ‘25-26 school year: $1,000

Why we use FACTS to determine each student’s tuition rate

We recognize that locally and nationally we are facing economic disparities among our communities. At the same time, tuition continues to be an important part of funding the educational experiences and support we provide to our students. A variable tuition model allows those with the economic means to enroll their child/ren in The Chicken Coop School at the full cost of tuition and ensures access for those who would require some form of grants or aid to equally enroll.  After researching different options, we believe the FACTS application provides a standard and equitable aid assessment process that is the basis for our variable tuition model.

The Farm School does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, family structure, or national or ethnic origin in any of its school administered policies or programs.
